Training - Academy - Junior Modelling
Junior Modelling Workshop
Overview
The Lizzie Wagner Academy only does one intake
per year (January) for junior models so those trained have
potentially more opportunities of developing their
skills.
During the graduation there will be a brief industry
lecture and various agents and clients will be
present to make talent selections. The children
will receive a diploma that can be used for their
portfolio, and you may like to bring along a camera
or video recorder, and join in the celebration.
The children will have an opportunity to be photographed
by a professional photographer and the sitting
fee is only $30.00. This is not compulsory, however
it does help the students to understand the workings
of a studio and to help the student to become
comfortable in front of a camera. It is also a
very cost effective way of getting photos for
clients and/or creating a composite card, or lasers
to leave with clients. (This will be explained
at the industry lecture.) The fee is paid directly
to the photographer. Photographs will be available
for purchase at the graduation.
Most portfolio and composite card shoots are
hundreds of dollars, therefore the program not
only assists in assessing the students, elevating
their confidence, and preparing them for the modelling
industry, but also helps to set them up with the
appropriate photographic requirements in a cost
effective way. Even if your child has no interest
in the modelling world, you will have some beautiful
shots for your friends and family.
In the workshop the children will work on parade,
photographic, promotions, voice-overs and TV,
allowing us to assess their potential, in varied
segments of this industry.
Your child will also benefit from greater confidence
and self-esteem, posture and deportment. Your
child is about to embark on an exciting and challenging
course, which should not only be educational,
but lots of fun. The Academy will issue handouts
throughout the course and we would like you to
collate a simple manual or notebook for future
reference.
Prerequisites
Anyone between the ages for 3/5 and 9 years of
age is eligible to enrol and be assessed, regardless
of sex, height, size or experience. Diplomas will
be issued on completion of this course.

new for the course but use what you already have
at home. Should you wish to purchase anything,
we suggest you discuss it with the teachers to
ensure value for money and an appropriate purchase.
You may also wish to bring snacks, lunch and
a drink each day or you can pre-order food and
beverages from the venue where available (reasonable
prices and products have been set for our students).
